DEAF
SPARROW
is an underground and independent music website made by
people and for people (actually more like one person
only) who love music. My focus is on a wide variety of
rock music; with a big
emphasis on the hard, the eclectic and the extreme. My
mission is to spread the word, review, inform and
provide a fair but harsh assessment of the work of rock
musicians around the globe. The site has been
specifically designed to be user-friendly and I have
intentionally stuck to what some might tag a 'dated
look' but that's mostly because I don't know any better.
The main purpose of this site is to inform, entertain,
educate and introduce bold music fans to exciting new
music and to past releases that I consider have been
unjustly overlooked. Help spread the word.
DEAF SPARROW currently does not provide News, Boards or Forums. You'll have to go to the other
100,000 other sites out there for that. I am trying to
keep it simple!!! Plus, I can't really keep up with that
stuff.
DISCOS INAUDITOS
is an offshoot blog in Spanish that selects the best
albums reviewed in
DEAF SPARROW.

Want to advertise your product? Banners are currently
free. Send them to:

and I'll do my best to fit them somewhere.
Don't even
bother. DEAF SPARROW Zine is a one-man site and it will
remain that way. Occasionally, I'll request permission
to publish the work of others, but these instances are
by my request only.

If you'd like your
releases (CD's, DVD's, demos, vinyl, 7"s, tapes-(no
8-tracks please!!!)) to be reviewed, send them to
the
address below.
CD-R's are
fine as long as they contain complete material
(full-length's, EP's, etc), but promos that only include
two or three songs of a release don't qualify for
review. Also, please abstain yourself from suggesting
that I check out
your music in your MySpace page or your
website, I simply don't have the time, nor the enthusiasm
to do that.
Downloadable MP3 files are also fine, but they are hard
to keep track off. Plus, I get dozens of those a
week.
Physical copies are ALWAYS
recommended and will take precedence over digital
formats.

I encourage artists
and labels to submit informational material as this
proves to be useful during the review process.
Please
keep in mind, that turn-around time might be a few
weeks, and that I do not promise to review all the
stuff
that I get. I do my best to send out the review
links once they've been uploaded, but chances are I'll
skip one here
and there, so constant visits to the site
will help keep you updated.

will become property of the site. I will not return any
submissions.
