Obnoxious Youth – Mouths Sewn Shut (Superdeformed Speed Metal)

This is the kind of stuff I live to review, if you can call that living. I laugh and stare from above as the pathetic provincial sites of the world attempt to draw some sorts of band comparisons or pathetically toss out tag after stale tag in an attempt to ground their meaningless words. You fools the ability to speak, and you take yourselves too damn seriously. Time to get annoying. Obnoxious Youth is best thought of as a blackened conglomerate of place and time with no clear direction but their own, and goddamn is it great. Octane to the point of flammable, deformed to the point of rejected, furious to the point of murder is about the best you can do to summarize where Mouths Sewn Shut wants to take you. It’s a magical ride where these total assholes have complete control.

Obnoxious Youth is probably notorious or something, I don’t know for sure I didn’t look it up. All I know is, Mouths Sewn Shut will leave you in a panic due to its almost complete lack of categorization. Death to all critics. Truly annoying in so many ways, these guys are hateful and fast, opening with what at first sounds like infantile Sabbath worship until the total assholes move their fingers so fast over their riffs they can’t follow the melodies (and that’s a good thing). The sudden shifts to spiteful violence of all things music is absolute perfection. One cannot help but love how Obnoxious Youth sounds like they’re practically falling over themselves through this EP, obliterating their own meaning and leaving the craft bear critics pretending like they know what’s going on. in Mouths Sewn Shut the energy is high, the care is low, and the result is rock like it was meant to be, disgusting and ornery. These damn idiots have left me on “seen” for days even when I asked them a few questions about it. That’s all I need to know about their music. Lol. Total dicks.
