Onslaught Kommand – Demo I (Wretched Chilean War Grind)

Dirty, dirty, dirty! These guys are wretched excuses of human life in every conceivable way. Consisting of members of various bands from the disgusting bile pits of the Chilean underground where even goregrind n00bs dare not trend, Onslaught Kommand is one of many rare finds by Polish champion label Godz Ov War Productions, coming out of nowhere with Demo I, which does nothing but support a distate of all things pleasant. Calling it a demo is probably a stretch, because in all its rawness there is a clear sense of style. Truly a wretched thing of the ugly here.

You’ll think you puked after listening to Demo I. Onslaught Kommand is enjoyable only to those of us who seek music that violates our own existence. The sound is graphic to the ears, slicing and bleeding out any shreds of musical sensibility you were unlikely to possess at the outset. Though some have compared these guys to old school grind acts, there is a higher production level to the sound, except that the clarity is completely degraded for the sake of it. Killer riffs to slay the weak, a morbid sense of the frailty of life is the overreaching feeling of it, and god, what great vocals! They run from low, gurgling growls to shrieking for a last gasp of life wailing. In spite of its short listen, it also possesses a surprising amount of variety for what is supposedly a demo. Bros, lol, come on! You’re too experienced in disgust to call this a demo!
