Sense – 不祥的预感: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story (Cyberpunk Big Chest Horror Click Game)

Everyone be talking about cyberpunk stuff this month even though they never played a lick of that Shadowrun until yesterday. Or they’re all talking about Neuromancer like it’s hot when it’s pretty crap, actually. So it’s obviously the flavor of the week, or rather year or longer depending on how long indie devs can milk it, but don’t worry the genre will still be around for the hardcore freaks when we’re past 2077 in real time. To its credit, Sense – 不祥的预感: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story doesn’t care which camp you’re from; noob or goob, it just wants to tell a good story with cyberpunk stuff and huge boobs for some reason.

Alright let’s get the first thing out of the way, yes there are big boobs. At first I sighed, shook my head, and then ignored it to give Sense a proper chance. It’s likely you’ll be happy if you do. As “Mei-Lin Mak” in Hong Kong 2083 (so it’s like 6 years cooler already), you’re sucked into a supernatural realm in an abandoned apartment building populated by a variety of horrible things. Your primary goal is to exorcise tormented souls by completing various tasks. Though the 2D, paper-like movements of characters feels artificial, it’s quickly forgotten as you’re engrossed in the story. My only complaint is it’s often obvious which objects are important even before you can use them and it’s primarily a seek-and-find at times, but Sense – 不祥的预感: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story is one of the better point-and-clicks I’ve played and you won’t be disappointed. Plus cyberpunk.
