Genocidal Rites – Genocidal Upheaval of Subservient Abrahamic Law (Barbaric Bestial Black Metal of Death)

I try my best to balance out labels I review, but, damn it, some of them are just so good I can’t but review whatever they send me. How many reviews for Hells Headbangers have I done so far? I don’t even know, but it’s probably embarrassing. Even more revealing (laying myself bare here), is the fact that I reviewed Genocidal Rites almost an exact year ago for an EP. Shiiittttt. But, hey, what can I say? The label, and the band, are some of the best of the best of the best. Looking for more barbaric, bestial blackened death metal? Full-length style this time? Genocidal Rites is back (again)! Are you ready to be tossed into a fit of mania that can only lead to bloodshed of untold millions?
Gawd, Genocidal Upheaval of Subservient Abrahamic Law doesn’t waste any time. I’ve said that before about other releases, but it’s far from generality at this point. Genocidal Rites brings exactly what they claim is their preference; relentless brutality. How many times has “brutal” been abused in the metal scene? Smash into the ground by one too many slamming death metal bands who still aren’t aware they’re not scary anymore. I’m actually scared of these guys. Seeping from the gutters of Detroit and Toledo, this is exactly the kind of people you do not want to associate with. Everyone’s afraid of war or something these days, but if you’re paying attention you’d notice it’s starting in the Midwest, with Genocidal Rites at the front running over towns with panzers (without using that word, too cliché now). Do they care about progression? No. Do they care about solos? Only if they’re perverted. This is a complete assault of all reason and sense. It’s war! Barbaric, bestial, destruction of all that lives!
